Alex and Lesli Uribe have been thriving off of each other's creative energy since meeting at The Cooper Union School of Art in 1987. Over the years they have created a family-run art framing business and curated a unique and eclectic, home based art gallery.
Lesli started her art career at Cooper Union. Since then she has become an accomplished painter. As a professional artist, she understands the use color and texture. With her expertise, she crafts masterful compositions for every framed piece. Lesli's mantra: "A beautiful painting deserves a beautiful frame."
Alex's passion for craftsmanship began with his father - a Colombian artist and sculptor who taught him, as a young boy, to frame his own work. In Alex's extensive career as a sculptor and master carpenter, he developed a broad range of skills which guide his framing expertise.
He now shares his expert trade and passion for craftsmanship with his apprentice and daughter, Vanessa, who received a formal education in fine art and instructed art classes in Manhattan before returning to Peekskill to carry on the framing tradition.
