SDF is owned by Lesli Uribe, a professional painter who specializes in color and design and Alex Uribe, a sculptor and master craftsman. With a combined 70+ years of experience as professional artists and artisans, they bring a robust repertoire of skills in carpentry, sculpture, painting, color theory, interior design, curation and gallery installation to their custom framing expertise.

We share our LOVE OF ART and invite you into our home-based showrooms where framing is less expensive thanks to our retail-free location. Side Door Framing now has 2 showrooms, workshops and art galleries. SDF {Peekskill} based in the barn of a historic Peekskill home and SDF {Milton-on-Hudson} is based at Elverhoj, a historic at colony right on the bank of the Hudson River.
We aim to inspire a lifelong love of art and appreciation for outstanding craftsmanship. We believe custom framing is an art form and a perfect step for manicuring in the artistic process. Our mission is to help you fill your life with beautifully works of art, customizing the perfect frames to reflect your vision, while respecting the artist's intention. The Uribe's are proud members of the vibrant Peekskill Arts Alliance and the thriving New York Hudson Valley artist community, servicing a range of clients in Westchester, Dutchess, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Ulster counties, as well as New York City, New Jersey, and Connecticut. We deeply value our community relationships and love to partner with local artists, galleries, and businesses.
